Bio

Harald Wilhelm joined AIAG in May 2022. Harald is a voting member of the IATF, representing the North American Automotive Suppliers.

Most recently Harald was Head of Quality Rules, Business Solutions and Controlling, North America with Continental.

Harald started his career in embedded software development for powertrain applications with VDO in Germany. He came to the US with ITT Automotive, developing embedded software for brake systems. Before transitioning into a corporate / automotive central function role in 2008, Harald was leading the brake software development team for North America during the time Continental acquired this business from ITT Automotive.

The central function role was then in Quality with responsibilities in process development, QMS, IATF16949 auditing and certification, ASPICE, FSM and Quality Data Analytics.

Harald served as a member of the AIAG Quality Steering Committee since 2016 and as a chair / co-chair of the QSC from 2018 to 2022.

Harald holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. He is a dual citizen US/Germany
